It's Showtime!!

Are you ready to be awesome?? Be at McMorran Theatre tomorrow at 5:30. Joanne and I need to run a few things before the show, so be on time and like today, find a seat in the house. Remember your CCK t-shirts are for the last number, so wear something else for the rest of the show. No big logos, no crazy designs please. Alright, rest up and save your energy for the show!! Schedule for Show Tech Week

Okay....here we go! Monday through Wednesday's rehearsals are at Grace Episcopal Church from 6:30-9:00pm. Please come to the same double doors as you did last Thursday. Thursday's rehearsal is at McMorran Theatre from 6:30 until 9ish! We may be staying a little later just to make sure we are all set for Friday's show. Please come to the north stage doors. See you all tomorrow!

Rehearsal for Saturday July 24th

Everyone is scheduled for this Saturday's rehearsal. We are back at Dungan's Chiropractic Clinic at are usual time of 2-4:30pm. This is the last rehearsal until tech begins on Monday, so time to get focused! Joanne will be covering everything, so be prepared to work on song, dance, skits, monologues....everything!! We need to be rehearsing as if it were the show. That means performing with the level of energy and focus that you would have during the performances! Don't be late....2pm ready to go!!

****IMPORTANT****Rehearsal Thursday, July 22nd

We are meeting this Thursday July 22nd at Grace Episcopal Church in Port Huron. I know this is late notice, but we really need this extra rehearsal with only a week and a half left before the show. Rehearsal is from 6-8:30pm. The address for the church is 1213 Sixth Street, Port Huron. Everyone is scheduled to be there. Again, sorry about the late notice, we had to find another location for this rehearsal since we could not use Dungan's. See you all then!

Rehearsal for Saturday July 17th

Here is the schedule for this Saturday's rehearsal. If you are not in any of these numbers, you do not have to be at rehearsal. I do need all of those who are in skit's to be there. We will be working to tighten everything up and going over blocking again. Remember we are of book tomorrow.

Parade Update!!!!

The staging area this year is at 3rd St and Water St. Please be there around 5pm at the latest. Roger said to look for Cruella De Ville. She will be where our entry is. The parade will be heading north this year up Military from Griswold to Glenwood. Any parent who would like to accompany their child in the parade, is welcomed to do so. When the parade is over, the pick up area will be somewhere behind Alpine Cycles. I will try to be in the staging area around 4:30-4:45. See you there!

Rehearsal for Saturday July 10th

Ok, here is the skinny. Rehearsal this Saturday from 2-4:30pm. We will be working on everything! I hope you have been going over your lines, music and choreography. We will also be doing some measuring for costumes and getting t-shirt sizes from you. Please be there at 2 o'clock ready to go!

Rehearsal for Saturday July 3rd

Joanne will not be able to be at this Saturday's rehearsal, so anyone not cast in a skit or monologue is not scheduled to be there. I will be working with everyone else. We will be going over blocking again and character development. We will also need to take some costume measurements as well. Rehearsal will be from 2-4pm. Be there ready to rehearse at 2pm. See you then!!

Rehearsal for Saturday June 26th

Everyone will be dismissed at 4 o'clock, except those listed and anyone involved in a skit. Joanne will be working with the group singing "BECAUSE" from 3:45-4:05 and the those singing "PART OF YOUR WORLD" (Sidney C., Abbi M., Micaela M.) from 4:05 to 4:30. I will be working on skits throughout the rehearsal. (providing all of our actors are there) Everyone needs to be there at 2pm ready to rehearse. We have only five more rehearsals until tech week, so we really need to buckle down and get to work. Please bring a CD if you still need a copy of the songs. See you all Saturday!!

Important!!! Please read!!!

Attendance has been sporadic, at best. This past Saturday we were not able to rehearse any of the skits because we did not have all the participants for any one skit. If you are unable to make the majority of the remaining rehearsals, then we need to recast your part in the program.

There are only 5 more rehearsals left until tech week, so we need to know that each participant is committed to this show. Please contact one of us if you cannot make the remaining rehearsals and would like us to recast your skit, monologue, small group. You can still be part of the production numbers.

Reminder for June 19th Rehearsal!!!!!!

Everyone is dismissed at 4pm on Saturday, except those working on the song "Because" and Connor, TJ and Zach. In between the things Joanne will have you working on Saturday, I will be going through blocking with anyone involved in a skit. Please don't forget to bring a cd with your name on it if you want a copy of the songs we are learning. See you Saturday!

Show Dates Set!

The dates for our 2010 Variety Show are Friday, July 30th and Saturday, July 31st. We are meeting again this Saturday June 12th at Dungan's Chiropractic Clinic from 2-4:30. We will be meeting every Saturday from here on out, unless posted on this blog. We have only 7 rehearsals left before we start our tech week leading up to the show, so if you still want to be in the show...we need you here! We will have a line-up this week and a rehearsal schedule. See you then!!

We are Auditioning for the Summer Variety Show to be held at the end of July. All Blue Water Area kids who audition, and are able to attend rehearsals, tech week and the show will be given a part.

This summer’s show will be directed by Ty Evenson and Joanne Ryan (the Director’s of PHCT’s recent production of Aladdin).

Come prepared to audition. If you have never been to a theater audition before, don’t worry, we will be learning how to audition during the first half of the meeting. If you have been in our Summer Variety Show in the past, be ready to let the audition board know what theatre skills you’d like to focus on for this show. (We will be singing, dancing, performing monologues, skits and comedy sketches).
